PLAYHOUSE - Tap & Hold Indicator

Description

Something we grappled with was the innovative ‘tap, hold, drag & drop’ functionality for adding furniture to a design. We iterated on the functionality and indicators until it felt intuitive (introducing haptic feedback, for example) and also added animation indicators to help reiterate the idea. After adding the hold countdown timer to our initial video tutorial there was an increase in player completion of the first design. (Note: I, along with the CEO and Director of Visual Design oversaw the development of the video via an outsourcer – I added the timer + checkmark animation).
